It is important to understand that autism is not the result of anything parents did or didn’t do during pregnancy or early childhood. Research shows that genetics play a significant role, with certain genetic factors contributing to the likelihood of a child developing autism.

While early experiences and environmental factors can influence the development of social and communication skills, parenting style alone is not the cause of autism. Instead, autism manifests differently in each child, which is why early diagnosis and intervention are crucial.
